Cornerstone Christian Academy is an independent K–8 school in Southwest Philadelphia serving families across the city. We’re a neighborhood-rooted school with a city-wide mission to provide an education that is academically serious, spiritually grounded, and genuinely accessible, including for students from underserved families who too often are shut out of high-quality options.

Cornerstone’s mission is to educate children in an environment that holds the highest standards for academic achievement and spiritual development. That means a school culture where students are known, challenged, and supported. It means teachers partnering closely with parents. It also means faith is not simply a class but a daily posture that shapes how we treat one another, how we pursue excellence, and how we practice compassion and responsibility.

Our vision is to be a model urban Christian school where students are grounded in faith, shaped with Christ-like character, and equipped with the knowledge and skills to excel in high school, college, and throughout life. We want Cornerstone graduates to be strong readers, writers, and thinkers, and also the kind of young people who lead with integrity, persevere through difficulty, and show up for their neighbors.
